    Winter 2018-2019

We need a General thread about this years snow! Anything and everything.

Kaysville had 5” of snow out of this latest storm.

    What did you guys get?

I heard South Jordan got over a foot? And central mountains got a lot too.

    And Ogden...rockgremlins favorite...was just a skiff.

10" at Alta this morning. Super light, dry blower pow is exactly how I like to start my week. Yesterday was cold but the minion handled it like a trooper. Can't believe how much good skiing there has already been this year. I've got 10 days in the books and at least 7 of them had fresh snow. Hopefully it keeps up.

Looks like any photo I take vertically ends up posting sideways. Anyone know how to fix that?

Yeah when we moved in our neighbors all laughed at our snow shovels. "You're gonna need to buy a SNOW BLOWER up here in North Ogden-land." They all said...

In two years I have yet to see any more than 2 inches on my driveway and that's including yesterday's wintery blast. We're cursed. If you're ever sick of the snow just let me move in next door - the clouds will dry right up.

I'm in South Jordan. We've had 6 inches over the past few days.

I'm glad I finally got the cover put on my toy hauler on Saturday night.

@Accadaca, where are you in SoJo? I'm near the Glenmore Golf Cousrse and I have about a foot of snow. My Audi is entombed in the back driveway, with a foot of snow atop the car cover that is likely now frozen to the Audi!

^^^ In contrast to your snowpack report for Dec 25th, here's a few previous reports. Because I'm a nerd I've been saving snowpack reports since late November. Interesting to see the fluctuations.

    Thanks for posting those!

    The poor SE & SW...

Still, we have about three months left of the winter water year to go.

That's a lot better than I would have thought. It's felt like a dry winter so far.

Starting off 2019 with decent snowpack -- as long as you aren't looking at SW and SE Utah regions.

Well, winter finally hit North Ogden. Close to a foot has fallen overnight and it continues to fall. I'm surfing Bogley because I'm procrastinating shoveling.

Yesterday's storm brought a sizeable amount of water for the central and southern part of the state.

I heard Brighton received over a two feet of snow and Zion, near the Subway trailhead, received about 8" of snow.

All totaled we got close to 16 ~ 18 inches at our place. When all the shoveling was complete the snowdrifts were piled up almost chin deep everywhere. The snow was extremely dense and heavy as well. Like shoveling wet concrete. I watched as the branches from the neighbors trees snapped under the weight of the snow.

    The mailbox is almost buried.

I had originally typed "My back is f***ed." In the original message but deleted it.

That said, I'll reiterate: My back is f***ed. I mean, I know where in the midst of an "Opiademic" but Ibuprofen and Tylenol aren't doing shit. You feel me?

Can you get medical marijuana for back pain now, or did Sombeech veto that?
