    That car is going to be a beast. A 2019 Corvette already turned the fastest lap time ever by a production car at VIR and the 2020 mid-engine will be even faster.

    The amazing part is the Corvette is within the reach of the average American if they so desire, as opposed to the half million dollar Ford GT and the million dollar exotic's it dethroned. The 2019 ZR-1 Corvette is considered by gear heads to be the biggest performance value per dollar ever offered. Purchase of a ZR-1 also includes two days at a high performance driving school, which is well worth the money. I know because I used to teach one for the SCCA.



    FWIW: Fastest lap on the Grand Course West at Virginia International Raceway has been the benchmark for years when it comes to fastest production car lap. I have no clude why that race track, but it just is.

    I don't imagine the mid engine will be a huge advantage in HP.

    But a very big one in handling.
