Good thing they are not Americans...

    ——

The toughest section is about halfway out at a section named "T-Junction", which is so tight the divers have to take off their air tanks to get through.

Shit...if they were Americans, they'd already be out.

I can guarantee you that when I was that age, I would have been like "Oh yeah, hook me up with a tank!"

So I can't help but wonder about the part that need climbing gear...they likely came down it? Anyway, I'd love to hear details about the day they went in and what it was like being pushed all the way down there. Must have been panic, eh?
Suddenly my feet are feet of mud
    It all goes slo-mo
    I don't know why I am crying
    Am I suspended in Gaffa?

X2. When you look at the map, and just wonder about everything that took place for the boys side, there is going to be a lot of details emerging...

I sense a documentary (or movie) in the making.

The most dangerous part of the journey out of the labyrinthine cave system is the first kilometer, during which they are required to squeeze through a narrow flooded channel.

Rescuers need to hold the boys' oxygen tanks in front of them and swim pencil-like through submerged holes. Having completed this section, the boys are then handed over to separate, specialist rescue teams, who help assist them through the remainder of the cave, much of which they can wade through.

Another four boys were rescued Monday. Four boys and their coach remain in the cave, but it's unclear if authorities will try to extract them in a group of four or try to take the five out in a single mission.

It sheds light on why the kids got stuck in the first place. Maybe I missed it other articles I read, in this one it states the boys went in on their own. Hence the poor choice to enter a cave in the rainy season. And the coach became stuck with them because he went looking for the boys. If this article is true he is a hero. It makes more sense than a coach who is 25 leading the boys into a dangerous situation.

Again I may have missed that skimming other articles but I was under the impression the team went in with the coach.

I heard that they went in together, then it started raining and the incoming water pushed them further down. I reckon we'll find out.

After seeing the news reports early on in this story, I have to agree that I pretty much thought the same thing. What a wonderful and miraculous ending to this saga!

    Watching 20/20 Triumph in Thialand.

The 25 year old did take the kids into the cave. It was the head coach who went looking for them and discovered they went onto the cave.

And yes respect to Saman Human. Respect to all SAR.

I sure hope nobody was upset at the lack of diversity on the rescue team.
