Lake Blanche and Lake Florence with Gorgeous Waterfall
Enjoyed a wonderful hike up to Lake Blanche and Lake Florence. Also enjoyed the beautiful waterfall between the 2 lakes. Loved the cliffs and red and orange rock on the hike up Loved the HUGE field of yellow Arrowleaf Balsamroot flowers. Loved the beauty of the Lakes. 6.7 miles for the whole round trip. I was worried about the elevation gain, but it is not that bad. Last 1.5 is the steepest climb but it wasn't bad with all the switchbacks. Most important thing to know about the hike is that you come to a huge orange rock boulder section, and the trail is hard to see, for it is a sharp switchback. Some people try and brave plowing through the boulders to find the trail, and if you turn around you can see the trail. Check out my post for more info.
