while i opposed what harry reid did, i disagree with you since the rule change didn't apply to the supreme court and that should have been preserved by both parties. between that and the maneuver with garland, mcconnell has severely ratcheted up the politicization of the institution that should minimally be impacted by it. scalia was unhappy about the intrusion of politics into the judicial appointment process. oh well ...
