The hearings will center around the newspaper ad ACB signed years ago opposing abortion. That's it, nothing else matters.

High risk for both sides. Possible ramifications, in order of likelihood:

    1. +R. Dem's base is already fired up, this will do little to enhance turnout. But the Christian vote is probably depressed, and this would potentially up it a bit.

    2. +D. Confirming someone "with her mind already made up" gives a tremendous boost to the argument for court packing.

    3. +D. On the fence R's side with D's strictly on the "mind made up" argument. To head off, in their thinking, a court packing. A deal with the devil would badly demoralize our side as having been sold out, reinforce the D argument, and make us look wrong on principle.

    3.5. +R. Dems go all-out anti-Christian.

    4. +D. The abortion ad puts Collins of Maine in a particularly tought spot. You'd have to expect a no from her (and Murkowski) on this issue alone.

And so it begins, point 2 above. Repubs are court packing. With an electorate informed by their Pravda media, they'll try to change the definition of court packing, as Sasse noted in calling it "Orwellian."

Fight to the death at this point.

Coons says that confirming Barrett 'constitutes court-packing,' Sasse responds that's 'obviously' incorrect

Amy Coney Barrett answers questions at confirmation hearing without notes, holds up blank notepad

I like this nominee more and more each day. She is doing a great job from what I have heard so far.

    What a woman. Incredible.

Newt's article on the Dem's predicament is good: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/amy...-newt-gingrich

Here is the odd thing about Biden and packing. If he stood up and said, "No, I will not tear the country apart and overturn 150 years of legal stability by packing. My presidency is about normalcy and calm and a return to order." He'd be hailed as a bridge builder and peace maker, able to shun the hard left. Would eliminate the argument he's a leftist trojan horse.

Senate Dem candidates would benefit also, no longer to be viewed as potential Constitution bombers. The MT D candidate is gone now that he came out for packing, for example. That race was a toss up and is now an R hold imo.

In my view, the disappoint on the hard left would pale to the relief in the middle and he'd gain.

Bizarre he hasn't done it. Each day that passes this issue works more for us. Even better? He probably can't backtrack now without looking like he's lying to staunch the losses. He needed to stand up to the left immediately.

I've been watching some of ACB's conformations hearing and the one thing I now know for certain is ACB is smarter than all the Democratic Senators combined. She would make a great Supreme Court Justice.

    That is all....

I love the Democrats artistic abilities... they are masters at painting themselves into a corner.

And they've been serving themselves up yet another shit sandwich. It's like watching someone bang their head against the wall, over and over again.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would want these people pulling the levers of power.

EDIT: I just read the Dem senator from Hawaii ( a woman, no less) asked Barrett if she's ever sexually assaulted anyone...wow.

Consider, if the Dems sweep, this level of insanity- Big Tech censorship, slashing of decent people like ACB, woke Twitter mobs controlling thought, and woke street mobs controlling day to day urban life- all becomes permanent. And more powerful.

Forever. Nothing in our lives untouched or safe.

Does it still not really matter @rockgremlin? Just corporate Dem control with little difference? Amnesty and 20 to 60 million new voters won't happen and won't lock things in and make CA policy nationwide?

What a shit-show. Kamala and Cory Booker have again shown just how vile and mean they can be. The accusations that were hurled at ACB were simply unreal, unsubstantiated and meant in the most hateful way.

Democrats Hiss In Terror As ACB Pulls Out Crucifix

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Amy Coney Barrett has eloquently defended herself through the Senate confirmation hearings this morning. But as Dems grew increasingly vicious, she was forced to turn to desperate measures.

After several hours of hearings, Barrett pulled out a large crucifix and held it aloft. A light shone from the heavens, and the Democrats knew they were defeated.
They shrunk back and began to hiss. "Noooo!" cried Senator Richard Blumenthal. "It burns us! Take it away!" He dove under his desk to hide from its light.

They're pretty bent out of shape because the shit sammie they're being forced to eat this time is...extra thick.

Think about it...their iconic hero, RBG dies and is replaced by an absolute polar opposite...their worst nightmare. Like a pissed off divorced wife watching her ex remarry the hottest chick in town. Quite frankly, I'm surprised the vitriol from them isn't heavier than it is.

We're not seeing huge crowds of pussy hats outside the SC building...I think that's telling, as it seems to me that they're demoralized.

Did you ever see the movie "The American President" with Micheal Douglas and Annette Bening? Richard Dreyfuss played a slimy, snarky, nasty, conniving Senator...his character was a caricature of the worst a person could be. Crazy how people like that actually exist and behave that way right in front of us...like a performance that they feel is appealing?

    Yeah...appealing to miserable suckers.
