I can not stress enough how important it is to start saving early for retirement. And I still believe the basic problem with Millennials is that they think everything should be given to them. There is no reason on this earth that someone should graduate from college owing $100k in student loans other then poor money management and lack of work ethic.

I completely agree about this. Way too many people think that their social security checks are going to get them through. I'm not sure why anyone would think that, but they do.

I've stopped investing in the short term since I started my business in 2015 and I'm paying for the software. I got a check today that will take care of that. I've also got a car to pay off, which we'll have done by October or sooner. After that, it's game on and I'll catch up. I should be able to put a lot of money away for later once I'm done paying other people so that they get rich. I gotta start paying myself again.

The other issue here is that way too many people carry debt into retirement with them. You can live on a lot less money if you aren't making a giant mortgage payment and still paying off credit card and student loan debts. Also, car payments are killers in retirement.
