So Kennedy was on the Rod Arquette show yesterday and he said that KSL editorial board had misquoted him. Rod played Kennedy's conversation on the phone (didn't have Jeffries though) and the only thing he apologized for was Romney calling him a religious bigot.

He said that the reason for the phone call was that he was trying to be a missionary.

Not sure what to believe, but he did sound sincere.

Just a reminder what Mitt said in 2004 when he signed the Massachusetts "assault weapons" ban. To this day he still defends his decission to infringe on the Second Amendment rights of American citizens.

In the recent debate with Mike Kennedy, he told Utahns gun control should be left to the states... But less than a second after making that statement, he invalidated that promise with a call for two new pieces of federal gun legislation.

Mitt Romney couldn't even keep a promise for no more federal gun control for more than a single second.

If Mitt Romney is willing to give two exceptions to his rule of no federal gun control, (in the same breath he says no to federal gun control) then he will eventually call for more exceptions.

I'm I the only person in Utah that finds Romney actually acceptable? Mind you, I believe the entire Utah delegation are a bunch of spineless cowardly traitors so I don't want him elected but he seems exponentially better than the lacky motherf*ckers currently in office.

This whole blow back makes me continue to think Utah is ass f*cking backwards as per usual.

Don't even get me started on this nonsense. That's just f*cking code for the audience.

The big problem with both parties is they don't select good candidates, or at least candidates that have the best chance in the general election. To win the primary you have to be an extremist, but the general public wants someone close to the center of the road.

My current prediction for the 2018 mid-terms. The GOP will pick up at least 2 seats in the senate and possible 4. The GOP will also narrowly keep the house.

And take heed.... I nailed all my 2016 predictions. And I might revise this prediction before the mid-term, but the blue wave is turning into a ripple as the Democrats battle within their party and have no unified message outside of hate Trump.

I just finished two weeks of vacation with a lot of friends...camping, biking, hiking, canyoneering. Sitting around the campfire every night, talking.

They are all liberals...very liberal. Damn near socialists. I've know them for years and we get together often.

They have no leader and they seem to be aimless. They certainly don't like Trump and they actually bitch mostly about his appointees, but at the same time they seem resigned to the fact they're getting no satisfaction from their "party"...which they criticize as being lame.

All of this is quite remarkable as their pie in the sky dreams were amped up when Obama ran the show. Last year at this time they were all jacked up thinking Trump might get his ass kicked out, but now they seem to not care about any of it.

I reckon we'll see just how much our country "hates" Trump come November, eh?

Twotimer and Ice's posts are spot on and so depressing. Trump's a madman leading an angry mob of lunatics (no offense to bogleyites), but the establishment GOP is so afraid of that mob that they don't know what to do, and Dems seem hellbent on self destruction.

For God's sakes, the sitting president just said it's impossible for him to commit obstruction of justice and that he has the ability to pardon himself anyway, and the right wingers just nod their heads and smile as they throw their panties at him. And somehow, unless there is a major downturn in the economy, we are stuck with him for at least 6 more years.

This is such a stupid battle on both sides... IF Mueller is dumb enough to subpoena Trump it would be tied up in court until long after Trump left office. Hell, the guy is 71, there is a good chance Trump would be dead from old age before a Supreme Court decision was ever handed down. For Christs sake SCOTUS can't even make a ruling on a gay wedding cake without kicking the can another 3 years down the road.
