So the problem wasn't Mangum, who would have ever guessed....
That being said Wilson looks good and has a much higher ceiling than Mangum. Not to mention you get Wilson for the next 3 years so might as well get him game experience as that's one of the few positives the Cougars can salvage from this season.
Wilson is going to be a good D1 QB barring injuries.

Gotta be one of the worst weekends on record to be a BYU Football fan.

They've got two more losses headed their way -- one to Boise State in Idaho this weekend, and the other one to the Utes in RES at season's end. Between those two losses they have gimme wins against UMass (3-6) and New Mexico State (2-7).
Should end the season with a 6-6 record. Last season they ended with a record of 4-9. How long will Sitake last? It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

BYU Football 2018
From BYU's Mike Shelton: "I like playing at home but sometimes our fans can be a downer & it brings us down. But I think we feed off of the energy when we play away."
When asked a follow-up question on the issue about embracing being the “hated team or opponent,” he said “That’s what I mean by feeding off the energy at away stadiums. It gives us something to look forward to whereas when we’re at home, I mean, we don’t get many cheers and we don’t get many boos, so it’s like what are you really playing for?”

^^^^For a number of years the Delta Center/Energy Solution Arena was called `The Mausoleum' by NBA players around the league because Jazz fans were so quiet, well mannered, and polite compared to all the others cities they played in.

So the MWC has two teams ranked in the top 25, one of which still has an outside shot at a NY6 bowl game... this is the conference BYU owned as a member.
Meanwhile... BYU has to beat New Mexico State High School this weekend to become bowl eligible and a chance to play in the Who Gives A Crap Bowl...
BYU please join a conference!!! This will not end so long as you remain Independent.
