Just fishing for thieves with my BAIT BOX

We got one on the line, looks like a huge sucker.

This clown stole my EMPTY BAIT BOX from my porch just so I could troll for christmas theives. Feel free to share this around.
I called the police offered to email them the footage just as a warning but they came over and we had a talk.

EDIT: HE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED! I'll post his name and photo once it's wrapped up, I don't want to jeopardize anything by posting too early. I'm pressing charges over an empty box, and the police know it's an empty box, but he had the intent to take some of my property.





The truck, @2003 Dodge Ram king cab with chrome toolbox and hitch.

The schmuck, looks like he listens to Limp Bizkit and mixed with some Channing Tatum.

Oh and some of the news stations may be airing it. I don't really tune in to watch my own videos on the news anymore so if you see one, let me know how it looks and if the news girls seemed impressed by me.

I've had this post on Facebook for about 5 hours and it's been shared 220 times, most of them local folks too. There's a decent chance of him getting caught, but I'd be happy too if he saw it and just decided to stop stealing.

Here in Denver the closer you get to town the thicker the thieves. Virtually everyone I've worked for that has garage access from an alley has been hit. If you leave that garage door open unattended for just a few minutes they come swooping in. They drive up and down the alleys.

Also, you have to have your work truck locked at all times...even if it's parked right outside the house. They've been stealing garage door openers and registration papers to see when you live.

Thanks, apparently he lives in Syracuse, maybe 15 minutes away. That's what his Facebook profile says anyways.

And... this keeps getting better. Break.com just contacted me about buying exclusive rights to the video.

I'm definitely setting up another Bait Box in a couple of days! I've learned a few lessons with this one, little things I'd like to tweak. Maybe I'll include in the box a permission waiver to be shown on the internet to thousands of viewers, and at the bottom say (no signature required).

Holy sheesh, this thing is going to do better than any of my drone videos, which sucks because I want to be the amazing aerial footage guy, not the bait box guy.
