Angel's Advocate - Dirty Devil River canyon 10/01/2017
No Webbing left behind! - A Smooth Operator, Meat Anchors, partner assists and a Sandtrap.
This is a very scenic canyon to hone retrievable anchors skills.
There was plenty of sand at every station and great boulders to use a Smooth Operator.
It is easy to overload a sandtrap, we could have rappeled an elephant at one of our drops.
We learned that a pull cord pull from as far down canyon as possible, and plenty of muscle,
aids in sandtrap retrieval.
This canyon is not what I imagined it would be. ( thanks to Bluugnome.com for the write up of beta),
plenty of scenery and fun.
We finished this canyon with the amazing free hang rappel that edges Beaver Wash.
Thanks to Alijeh, Jessica, Jeremy, Carl and Lorin for a great time and great photos
