I get a big kick out of the media's reference to "NFL QB Colin Kaepernick".
When you have been out of the league for two years your career is over and you should be referred to as "EX-NFL QB Colin Kaepernick".
I'd be curious to know what Kaepernick's contract with Nike pays. I'm betting it pays more than his NFL contract paid.

I know, I hate it when people and groups do that. Just retire it already.

Kap should probably send a check to Trump after he gets his estimated $30mm from his collusion case. Seriously, the kneeling had all pretty much blown over before Trump made an issue of it. Without trump he probably would have been on a team earning a couple mill a year but all the hubbub with Trump turned Kap into something the owners were afraid to touch. Quite a long term win for Kap. Big check from NIKE, big check from the NFL, no CTE, and his cause gets a ton of attention. Love him or hate him he definitely won this whole thing.

On This Date: In 1976, protesters tried to burn an American flag at Dodger Stadium.
Chicago Cubs outfielder Rick Monday wasn't going to let that happen.

Michael Bennett Stood During The National Anthem For The First Time In Three Years In His Debut With Cowboys On ‘MNF’
Michael Bennett hadn’t stood during the National Anthem before an NFL game in nearly three years but today was different.
Bennett has always been vocal about his ability to protest the anthem to shed light on social justice issues.
Here’s what Bennett had to say about the matter back in 2017.
(Via CBS Sports
“I think the first step to even being able to even have a conversation is to make sure that Colin Kaepernick gets an opportunity to play in the NFL,” “I think before we even negotiate anything about whether we sit or whether we stand should be a negotiation about opening up the doors for Colin Kaepernick and give him an opportunity again, because I feel like through everything that’s been lost, I think all of us are having opportunities to be able to speak to our employers, but to think about the guy who started everything not to be able to have a voice at this moment, it just doesn’t seem very right to me.”
Bennett had opted to stay in the locker room during the anthem when he was with Patriots earlier this year but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones insisted that Bennett stood for the anthem when he traded for him.
Bennett and the Cowboys discussed the issue before the trade was finalized and he is expected to stand.
“I’m satisfied that, in Michael, we’ve got a player who knows how we do it here with the Cowboys,” Jones said on his radio show on 105.3 The Fan Tuesday.
Cowboys Jason Garrett echoed Jones saying, “We anticipate him doing what all of our players do. We don’t anticipate that being an issue.”
Bennett kept his word with Jones and stood during tonight’s anthem in his debut with the Cowboys.

Holy smokes that game last night was awesome! Can you imagine a Super Bowl like that?...because usually one team just smears the other. That was probably the craziest game I've ever seen...I would think even a person not into football would have been glued to that one.
That poor kid that missed the FG that would have won it for 'Frisco probably didn't sleep last night. Too bad, as I was rootin' for him.Suddenly my feet are feet of mud

Yeah great game for sure and the hawks got it done. Big win for them and the 9ers got exposed a bit.
