Lots of good football being played this year. The Super Bowl is totally up for grabs. A lot of great games.

Looks like the kneeling nonsense is a thing of the past. I feel sorry for those that said "goodbye" to football because of it and never came back.

But then again, I wonder how many of those dudes actually stayed away.
Suddenly my feet are feet of mud
    It all goes slo-mo
    I don't know why I am crying
    Am I suspended in Gaffa?

As someone who stayed away for the 2 seasons, I cautiously came back this year. The boycott had an effect and we have to be ready to ditch the league again. It's just a matter of time before they overtly push the envelope again.

But beyond the overt, based on the league paying off the SJWs with the huge funding of the anti-police cause whatever it's called, the kneelers won. That's why I pirate feeds, don't visit NFL sites, and won't likely ever go to a game again.

I don't watch near the NFL football I did before. I switched to watching more college when the NFL went anti USA and haven't returned.

I've come back to watching a few games a year but in all honesty, College is were football is at for me.

On a related note--I really liked the shootout in New England yesterday but couldn't help but notice the plethora of vacant seats.

Man, if you can't fill that stadium with a matchup like Chiefs vs. Pats then it seems the kneelers have had a lasting effect.

It’s going to be very interesting...

We could see a complete flip flop here? Mass kneeling with the NFL and TV networks supporting it?

If this happens, it's going to drive more people away from the NFL as middle America will not put up with that nonsense.

Sports and politics do not mix.

People watch sports for enjoyment and leisure, not to get a lecture on morals and politics. If the kneeling BS continues further the NFL's viewership is gonna take a massive hit.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

^^^Yup... if their kneeling they lose me for good. My viewing of the NFL is already down about 75%.

Quite possible...Roger Goodell said it himself a couple days ago when he was forced to his own knees to polish the black knob...

"There can't be an NFL without black players"

There you have it. It's all about $$$ and the blacks are all bent right now. That why all these corporations are falling all over themselves to "support black causes"...otherwise they get fingered with bad publicity by the mob and they don't like that. Most of what they're promising is just tossed bones.

So what is Pro Football? Gladiators smashing their bodies and displaying athletic prowess for our entertainment. Rooting for your team to win...eating up several hours on cold, winter days. It sure can be fun to watch...exciting. Can we live without it? Sure, some people will just bail altogether, others will just say..."OK, off your knees now bonehead and destroy yourself for my entertainment".

Also, if this mass kneeling happens...they'll accuse ANYONE that criticizes it as a racist, which will only weaken their position.

The image of the guy being totally dominated by that Aryan looking cop triggered something DEEP down in their souls. The white owners of these teams, and they're ALL white, had better watch their mouths.

IDK. Follow the culture and the money. When Crappernick started this garbage, a large part of the NFLs market was against it, and Roger made it look like he did a good faith attempt to stop it. That’s climate - sadly I would say the tackles have turned, dramatically. It’s in his financial best interest not to not only support the kneeling, but promote it, which he has done.

I wouldn’t be surprised at this point if they actually did away with the NA , and just have some sort of kneeling/memorial to some social cause or the other.

Remember when Nike signed Crapper to that multimillion dollar advertising deal- and everyone was stunned why they would be signing a failed athlete, who likely won’t even play again, and were all thought that was the start of the demise of Nike? I thought it would greatly hurt their stocks and sales, but it didn’t. Look at them now- they have the start fact of this BLM fad as their face of their company, and from the looks of things, a large part of the country is drinking his cool-aid.

The whole Drew Brees thing was sad. I felt like they ganged up on him and he caved. He’s a good guy and was not trying to disrespect anyone. How people feel about the anthem and flag is their own belief, kinda like religion. It means something different to Brees and that’s his feeling.

I can certainly see how it got some players bent out of shape given the current narrative. It’s a tough situation because people love the flag and their country. It means something completely different to these people. It’s about the military, their families and pride of country.

To the other side of course it means something completely different. For them it’s about injustices, equal rights and their cause. Which is complete justified as well. Both sides can’t see the other sides perspective or at least respect it. Shouldn’t you be able to have your own opinion and it doesn’t make you a bad person? It doesn’t mean you are against the other side. Tough issue.

Uh, no you can't. And the case with Mr. Brees proved it. If you're against "kneeling" you're a racist fool. On the other hand, those that stand for the flag think it's best to express your "displeasure" with social issues in a different way...wearing socks that depict cops as pigs doesn't help, either.

This issue has been beat to death...I mean deader than dead. If the blacks were smart, they'd figure out ANOTHER WAY of promoting their cause or expressing grievances that might actually net BETTER RESULTS.

My personal opinion? Anyone that gives a knee to the National Anthem deliberately has shit for brains. Does that make me a "bad" person? Well, quite frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.

It's all a lesson in how far gone the country is. There's nothing left to fight for at this point, with no public institutions not being corrupted by left wing, anti-American thought anymore. We'll give it our best to get Trump across the line. I'll pause work for a month in Oct and work 6 days/week on the campaign like in 2016. But the reality is, decades of socialist and now Marxist schooling has had an effect.

I don't think so...it seems so many think anyone under the age of 30 has the hammer and sickle swirling around in their eyeballs, but that's not true at all.

Where were the Bernie Bros? Where was this "great wave of young Socialists"?...all they had to do was check a little box with a pen, and they didn't. They don't exist.

What we're seeing right now are liberals/leftists throwing a fit with the delighted liberal media adding fuel to the fire. "Pussy hat" on steroids. That's it.

@Byron, One of my same age cousins back east called me last fall and asked that I host and give some work to his age 21 college son this summer. I talked to that son a few weeks ago on video chat to see where it stood.. I simply couldn't believe the total brainwashing. And this before Floyd. He couldn't talk about anything other than white privilege. He was asking me questions, to probe the level of my white supremacists thoughts and such.

Anecdotal single data point, granted. But this is my experience with young people en masse. I taught HS math for 5 or 6 years in another time of my life, 06-11.

I think it's too easy for us who are capable of intellectually dismissing leftist propaganda to not understand how utterly lost the younger generation is. I am terrified for this county's future.

As the father of an 18 year old that refuses to acknowledge the actual reality of what's going on right now, I can tell you that the problem is not so much Marxist activists as it is a lack of understanding as to what real freedom is and why it's better for you than having someone else take care of you. They get all of their news from social media and never read beyond the headlines. They also think with emotions rather than their brains, and are easily manipulated to feel sorry for someone or some cause even if they've done absolutely nothing to deserve their pity. She even said the other night that she thought it was a good idea to get rid of the police in Minneapolis. She almost didn't have a bed to sleep in after that.

The only thing that saves the rest of us from their generation is that they are too damned lazy to get off their butts and vote.

In short, don't ever think that 16 year olds should be able to vote. And if your congressman thinks they should be able to, you should vote them out of office with extreme prejudice.

I agree. The fact is there are many more conservatives out there than you think but they are purposely invisible. You never hear from right wing conservatives because they're too busy working and making money. They don't have the time nor the patience for flashy headlines and bullshit rallies.

Liberals love to grab the spotlight and like to talk big, but when they have to back up their rhetoric with action they shrink. The Bernie crowd is a prime example of that.

Oh, you guys. How lost and ignorant were YOU at that age? I know I was! They're moving from being children to adults and have yet to "set their feet", as I call it.

When I was that age, "everyone" was hyper concerned with nuclear war...like it was a forgone conclusion. Why go to college? Why buy a house? None of this is new.

Read the lyrics to the Oingo Boingo song "Capitalism"...that was written in 1980.

Look at the looting...what they all covet is "stuff"...awesome shoes and the latest phone. Most of them will eventually figure it out...all you have to do is get up and go to work and these things can be yours.

I'm telling ya...5000 years ago one caveman said to another "What's up with the kids these days"?

100%. My parents were idiots when I was that age. They got smarter as I got older and had kids of my own.

I have hope for my kids too. That daughter that I mentioned above started her first 40 hour a week job yesterday and she wants to get out of my house ASAP. I'd be worried if she wanted to stay home. I'm convinced that God makes teenagers so that we aren't sad when they move out, and he makes their parents so annoying that they don't want to stay.
