    Logan canyon Sampler v6.0

    Howdy Folks,

The date is set for October 7th. Keep your fingers crossed for decent weather. Meeting time will be TBD still, but likely somewhere in the 0700 range at First Dam.

I have attached a .gpx file that you can open up in Google Earth to check out the route. Once the route is showing, you can right click on it and pick the "show elevation profile" option to take a look at it. Don't trust the estimated overall elevation gain that GE will give you though.

The estimated stats are 45 miles long and about 6500 ish total feet of elevation gain. As with all these routes, there are plenty of options to shortcut sections or bail out early.

We will be starting from the Stump Hollow Parking Lot (right at the Beaver Mtn turnoff). From there we will do the following:

-Out & Back on Sink Hollow (the Google Earth file shows the loop w/ Beaver Creek Rd)
    -Up Long Hollow
-Down Petersen Hollow (deadfall recently cleared out by an anonymous chainsaw trail hero)
    -Up Steep Hollow
    -Across Shorty's Cutoff
    -Down Steam Mill
-Across White Pine Creek (to Bunchgrass)
    -Down Lower Bunchgrass
    -Up Little Bear
    -Up Turkey Trail
    -Down Stump Hollow

Everybody is invited. Pass this along to any friends that may be interested.

The usual disclaimers still ring true. There are no aid stations, no directional arrows, no SAG wagon, etc. Those that participate should be familiar with the area (and/or be riding with someone who is) and able to take care of themselves for the duration. There are multiple places along the route to filter water for those that want to carry a filter.

Click on the following link to RSVP so we have some general idea of who will be there.

Does that mean you're going to make the trip north to join us??

A week from this Saturday we are doing a circumnavigation of Ben Lomond Peak. That may really suck.......
