Pine Creek June 09 2017
We (2 adults and 2 kids ages <10) did Pine Creek last Friday.
The canyon was semi-full and for the most part water level was no more than chest height (there may have been a couple spots were I had to swim for a very short distance (I'm 6')). I wore 3mm Farmer John and 2mm neoprene socks, and was not cold at all. Kids wore 3mm wetsuits with additional 3mm neoprene-vest on top and were just fine (lesson learned with the vests, from doing Keyhole with them a couple weeks back ).
Apparently, there's an added ~30' mandatory rappel (after walking on two ~10' logs onto a chokestone boulder) before the 2nd to last rappel I didn't remember from doing Pine a couple years back (@Shane - might want to update your climb-utah page :)).
Total trip took us just under 10 hrs. (Yes...not a typo)...we took our time, and kids LOVED the hiking out boulder section (I think we met every frog in this canyon and know their name and family name ). Bottom line - FUN family trip with a taste of more.

You can climb under the logs and miss that rappel if do inclined. Glad you had a great time.
