Interest in Uintas highline trail - August 2017

    Hello,

I am looking on hiking the Uintas highline trail with a couple of friends this August. I was just wondering if anybody had any recommendations on doing this traverse (especially with only one car). Also wondering if anybody else is interested in doing this hike at the same time and would be interested in doing it in opposite directions and basically switching car keys half way?

    Thanks,
    Harry

It's tough with one car. You could hitch hike it, but that would likely take a few days.

If you have one car, an alternative hike of a similar length is the Uinta River Loop. Start at U Bar Ranch, to Lake Atwood, then to Kidney Lake, and down the Uinta River. It's about the same length as the Highline Trail between Hayden Pass and Chepeta Lake.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.
