Ditto that. And, doing the hokey pokey too for that matter.

Was involved in an accident over 30 years ago...my fault...(dumb arse...live and learn).

Anyhoo, my truck got clocked head on by a train. Destroyed my ride. Wish I had video.

Remote area outside of Moab. Sheriff and railroad inspector both show up. Guess who they're curious about when it comes to drinking? Yeah, me.

They're chatting to themselves...got an eyeball on me. I was reasonably fit at the time with decent balance. Started, out of boredom mostly (waiting for the towtruck to haul off my wreck), jumping from rail to rail. I nailed a number of these jumps in a row. I could hear the posse laugh and say something about not bothering with a sobriety check. Then they traded some frightening stories...

Kinda funny, because the back end of my truck was full of empty beers cans, and, they were scattered all over creation. I was stone cold sober, which, didn't hurt, but, they never even asked about alcohol. Years ago, not sure that common sense amongst the LEO's out there is allowed or prevalent any more.

Speaking of laws that make sense/no sense...

Wonder how long "rolling coal" will (effectively) stay legal in UT?

Rolling Coal is already illegal in Utah (And every other state as far as I know). Under Utah and Federal law you are not allowed to alter your emission system if driven on public roads. Also a diesel modified to roll coal will not pass a Utah safety/emission test.

The other side of that is it only takes 3 minutes to program the computer to roll coal and 3 minutes to program it back to legal if the truck was chipped.

Rolling Coal is like most things, we don't need more laws, we just need to enforce the ones we already have.

    According to the article,

Colorado will join New Jersey as the only states that have outlawed the practice. The Garden State banned coal rolling in 2015. A New Jersey citation carries a $5,000 fine.
The current Utah law is apparently of the "outlaw lite" variety, according to THIS article. A quick perusal of the law would seem to indicate that it has no teeth. Laws without teeth are rarely enforced, at least systematically. So while I agree in principle that we need enforcement more than we need new laws, we also need existing laws to be effective.

    Especially when they are true.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

There are exceptions, but for the most part this is absolutely true.

Gag me...you guys are as biased, stubborn and one sided as the teenagers I'm surrounded by every day. I thought their generation was going downhill...looks like they were actually born on the slope.

Oh jeez. Are you really hurt over a simple comment that was both meant to be true and humorous?

Most of the post in this thread were posted in fun, even if they are true. Most of us here are friends. The comments you are replying to are made in good fun.

Ditto, you've misinterpreted my posts. I'd recommend applying your above post to yourself here...
