Grand Gulch - Step Canyon - Fortress Canyon
Planning another 5-6 day excursion to Grand Gulch last part of April 2017. Wondering if it's possible (or worth it) to go up Step Canyon to Pine Canyon then East over the Mesa to Fortress Canyon. The idea is to explore areas not seen on previous trips. By going in at Bullet Canyon, I hope to make a large clockwise loop to Pine Canyon, follow it up? enter the canyon system, again, at Fotress, then exit via Kane Gulch.
If there isn't a safe (ish) way to re-enter around Fotress Canyon, I'll rethink the route. Just trying to avoid a shuttle to Collins, if possible...

I don't think Fortress Canyon is passable without ropes. If you find a route though, let us know. Upper Grand is also blocked.
Greenhouse is passable:

Below Step, there is supposedly a route through Dripping, but I haven't tried it. Supposedly it requires route finding.Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.
