Yeah the 60's and 70's were crazy times. If millennials think Trump is bad -- go do some research on American history during the Cold War and Vietnam eras. Some insane presidential shenanigans and outright felonious backdoor deals going on with LBJ and Nixon. For hells sakes, they had the National Guard shooting college kids in the streets during those times!!

The corruption, poverty, and living conditions in many of these countries makes it virtually impossible to survive, let alone get ahead. Our country, on the other hand, is awesome! Even the lowest paying jobs here are far better than what most of these people have in their homeland. It is the same reasoning, just reversed, why all the Hollywood people didn't leave when Trump became president. There isn't any better country in which to work and live that I have heard of.

I spent two months traveling around the Fiji islands in '02. It's a shithole, unfortunately.

There, the average workers pay is equivalent to $25 USD per week. As a result, I had dozens of young women offer me sex for money. These weren't pro prostitutes, but the gal that served me food or worked at wherever I was staying. Young...teenagers and early 20s. Mostly Indians, not so much native Fijian.

The Indians don't have moral objections to random sex, it seems. A quick handful of American cash was highly coveted.

They'd just had a coup a month before I got there...lots of roadblocks manned by machine guns.
