I'll betcha 10 bucks that most liberals believe that this is directly tied to Russia somehow. That Putin influenced people to nominate Trump.

They still claim that he is under Putin’s thumb. But not one of them can tell you one move that he has made that benefits Russia.

    It's textbook McCarthyism.

I like to call it "Contemporary McCarthyism" because what the Dems are doing today smells very similar to the nonsense that occurred in the 1950's with Senator McCarthy.

Just like the economy, democrats will claim that the groundwork for the reduction in US foreign military presence and foreign peace treaties was laid by Obama, and thus Obama should get the credit for these changes, not Trump.

What?! Obama took us from 2 wars to 7 during his time in the White House. He's even more of a "warmonger" than the Bushes were. He dropped bombs on innocent civilians -- remember that time he bombed that wedding ceremony in Afghanistan?

Here's a video to show how much of a douche Obama was -- and remember, this video was made by a formerly prominent member of The Young Turks, a fiercely liberal television program.

    Well worth the 13 minutes...

How is Trump's infection going to play?

    Potential good:
-He recovers well, emphasizes the inherent lack of risk
-His recovery highlights his zest over Biden
-Does a debate while sick, shows alpha strength
    -Some sympathy (Reagan shooting effect)
-Shakes his supporters, I've heard from one this morning on the EC who's in tears. Emph need to rally
-Dem's personal visciousness and ill-will on display

    Not good side:

-Can't campaign, media more in control of narrative
-Debates cancelled, no chance to overcome the first one
-This story outshines all others, takes spotlight off Dem radicalism
-Gives cover to all Dem arguments about the virus
    -Gives cover to Biden's hidin'
-Pierces his alpha invincibility image, demoralizes supporters
    -He's older and could succumb

Effing hell. The variable to end all variables this year.

Nah...dude looks great. For all we know he's had it for weeks. He may be one of those that just shakes it off. Haven't they been telling us you can get it and have zero symptoms?

I think that is what'll happen...he'll show no effects whatsoever and it'll reinforce his notion that the Progressives went too far...trying to lock everyone down and shame them for 8 months. It'll also pour cold water on Biden's plan to throw a wet blanket over the whole country again.
The end of the world for some...
The foundation of paradise for others.

This is the absolute key. If he recovers well, 2 weeks from now the narrative flips against lockdowns and caution. If he goes ICU for weeks like Boris, not good.

There will be 5 or 10 more positives, from McConnell to ACB to Mnuchin to Pompeo, whomever. Media field day for the next week in mocking.

If ACB has it and the confirmation is delayed? Holy hell. Would push her vote into the lame duck, and if a sweep happens, I can see waffling Repubs refuse to back her in that scenario.

The only two responses from the never Trumpers:
    1.I hope he dies.
    2. It’s fake. He’s not infected.

It is pretty remarkable how ugly and terrible people are about all this. True colors shining through.

I'm betting he comes through it fine, but we'll have to wait and see at this point, I guess.

We'll see this in spades from the left. In massive spades.
