Software for splitting .mp3 file??
I have a gi-normous mp3 file. I would like to be able to split it into hour long segments (48 hours total audio). Does anybody know if there is decent, preferably free, software that can split a large file into equal size chunks?

One that size, I don't know. I've used Audacity for cutting up regular music before. I don't know if it can handle that big of a file. If you have a lot of RAM, give it a try.
A little googling shows https://sourceforge.net/projects/mp3splt/ but you might have to compile it.

Yeah, I'd try Audacity... from memory you have to install something extra to support MP3.

great command line solution for Windows - works on Mac, too, but more involved to set up compared to Win
