I agree. I used to really get pumped for the "Holy War" but now I wish it would just go away.

It ranks dead last in terms of importance, since BYU isn't in the Pac12 (or any conference for that matter).

And every time these two teams meet emotions are so high that inevitably players come away with injuries. That's the last thing Utah needs - a bunch of injuries early in the season over a game that doesn't matter and isn't relevant anymore.

Couldn't agree more the game doesn't matter except for byu. The season is a success if they can beat Utah.

When the betting line came out BYU was a 3 point favorite, the line has now moved and Utah is now a 1.5 favorite.

I put $100 on Utah when they were a 3 point dog and I'm feeling pretty good about that bet :-) My only fear is Mangum gets comfortable at home and plays lights out.

The interesting betting line on Utah BYU is the over/under, which is currently at 47.5. 80% of the money is currently pouring in on the over so I expect this line to move.

After watching BYU's anemic offense I'm not sure what people are thinking, unless they expect Utah to drop 48 on the Cougars... LMAO...

What is the game plan for Utah and BYU?

Utah - A steady dose of running (Moss and Huntley) with a mix of passing to Carrington. Defense needs to shut down the run for BYU and get pressure on Mangum to make a mistake.

BYU - Establish some sort of running game and move the ball with short passes. Shut down Utah's running game. Lock up Carrington somehow.
