Blanding + Bluff suggestions
Hi;
Will be in Blanding & Bluff area on Sunday & Monday.
My wife really wants to see 16 room ruin (17 room ruin).
I've found directions to this.
Couple questions ....
- any other ruins right in that area (near 16 room ruin)?
- will I need 4 wheel drive? (from what I've read, it looks like i don't)
Also looking for other awesome ruins suggestions to see in the Blanding/Bluff area.
thanks,
Keith

I really like Butler Wash/Comb Ridge, I'd start there.
Lots to see, many shortish hikes.I'm not Spartacus
It'll come back.

Thanks for all the info!! You need a lifetime to see it all.
Couple thoughts and please comment on this itinerary ....
Day 1- Going to 17 (16?) Room Ruin (191 via County Road 438)
Then, doing the 20 mile Lower Butler Wash Rd
Can an economy rental car make this road?
Day 2 - Hiking South Fork Mule Canyon or Kane Gulch to Jnx w/ Grand Gulch
I'd like to see House on Fire, but I hear Turkey Pen is cool too.
Any thoughts on either?
thanks!

Hahaha... rental cars can go places Jeeps fear to tread.
You should be good to go unless it rains.
