Camping at sam sand dunes
Planning a trip for a group of 15 members in December 16 at sand dunes of Jaisalmer, its called as Sam sand dunes. Wanted to get some tips on the place, temperature, camp accommodation, outdoor tours and how to reach there. Plus what could we do or see in main city (Jaisalmer) and as we will land at Jodhpur airport, so can we also explore some sights at Jodhpur as that place is highly suggested by my pals.
So any post trip experience I can get?

Hey Rajender, Sam is actually called as Sam sand dunes and its 45 km from Jaisalmer city. Temperature of Jaisalmer is nice in winters, from October to March as evening and night time is cold but in summer, which is from April to September, Sam sand dune is not a place one might like to enjoy any activity.
Camp accommodation is easy to get as there are like 50-100 desert camps in sam and most of the outdoor activities are arranged by the camp team or you can contact local tour operators for that as you are traveling in a group.
A majority of travelers who visit Jaisalmer, prefer Jodhpur as via train, Jodhpur comes and the closest airport from Jaisalmer is Jodhpur airport. A day or 2 would be enough to explore the sights of Jodhpur. Plus you can also visit Osiyan sand dunes and Pokhran which is on way to Jaisalmer.
