    Bald Mountain Uintas

Has anyone been up highway 150 lately and seen how much snow is still up there? I wanted to hike Bald mountain next week but im worried the peak will still have snow because the Wasatch front peaks still have snow on them.
    Thanks

I'm curious too. I just may take the family on a drive up there to check it out, and camp if we can.

Yes and we were also wanting to MTB to Lilly lake. This year with the weather the way it was there is a high potential for a lot of snow still up there.

Snowpack is a little below normal, but there's always snow on Bald Mountain in early June. I'd take an ice axe. There is a section of the slope just before topping out on the little plateau that always requires an ice axe to safely ascend at this time of year.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Just got back from the Uintas, yeah there's still a little snow up there

This shot is taken from the air with Bald Mountain in the background, with a glimpse of Mirror Lake there in the foreground, frozen over still.

Taken yesterday, day before Memorial Day

Looks pretty normal for this time of year.

We just came back from the Uintas this weekend and although we camped down lower, we drove up to the Bald Mountain, Mirror Lake area. More pictures here:

This weekend we attempted to bike Wolverine ATV trail. We started at Lily Lake. But before we hit the other side of the boardwalk hiking with the bike got old. Everything was clear and dry at the lower elevation. But there was still lots of snow at the higher elevation especially on the North side of the mountain.
