Jman, what day you thinking of running the Black Hole? We are considering doing it this weekend.

The Black Hole is full of water and no log jams. It's in the easiest conditions I've seen in the past 10 years. Someone has fixed nice hand lines at all the major obstacles. If you get to an obstacle that looks really difficult look around and there is a easier way. Only down side is there is a lot of mud and a couple minor spots of quicksand, I'm guessing because sections of White Canyon have seen recent flow.
Cedar nats at the trailheads are brutal. Not a problem as long as you're walking but stop and sit they will eat you alive. Have everything packed and ready to go before you get there. Once you are in the canyon they were not an issue.
The upper trailhead was a little hard to recognize as the kiosk and all offical signs of a trailhead have been removed. The parking area is still there but it appears someone is trying to make the canyon less inviting and less popular.
