Attacked by a Wild Tom Turkey this Morning!

I was attacked by a wild tom turkey up American Fork Canyon this morning just as I pulled in to Elk Camp to do some trail work. There was a pretty good flock at the site with a couple of tom's and a bunch of hens. I thought they'd skidaddle once I drove up as they usually do but, this big ol' tom wanted to take me and my Jeep on!

There was a tom that attacked its own reflection off of the shiny front of a horse trailer down in the New Harmony area. The trail had numerous dents and even blood streaks from fighting its own reflection. The toms get crazy this time of the year.
