Looks like I might have a last minute drop out on my Buckskin Gulch/Paria canyoneering trip. If any of you climbers/backpackers out there that can pack by this Thursday night, you are in. This person will let me know for sure in the morning but if I can find a replacement now, he is fine with it. It is a 'hard to get permit' and one of the most spectacular hikes in the world. Thanks for the heads up. I called my contact at NOAA in Salt Lake this morning and he said flash flooding on Saturday and remnants on Sunday but it will move out for the most part on Monday and will be a drier cool front. So I changed my shuttle ride to Sunday so that we can enter Buckskin on Monday. Looks like it will be a great week!
