Oh yeah...the story of my life. Another thing you can count on is offering excellent advice that is completely ignored...and it's your fault when things fall thru. So often you have to "tap dance" around reality. I've NEVER been good at that...it's a blessing and a curse...great for business, not so good for personal relationships!

"The things they absolutely adore about you in the beginning, they'll hate you for later". You're making a great impression until they get tired of it.

I swear...10,000 years ago two cavemen were having a conversation about these very same things.

The Cold War with the Soviet Union was won because they had a flaw in their strategy that they failed to recognize...ideology takes a backseat to cash.

They financed it all by selling oil for dollars...otherwise we weren't doing business together. The Chinese, on the other hand...they noticed our exposed necks when we came over there wanting to subcontract their cheap labor...and they didn't waste to opportunity to strike. The Capitalists showed up and essentially dropped to their knees.

When it comes to money, I'd say you can round up a thousand men at random and more than half of them would whore their own daughters.
