This and the sequel Lullaby Road are the best novels set in Utah that I've read since Abbey's The Monkey Wrench Gang and Hayduke Lives. Mostly a road trip south and east of Price. Mostly by truck, but there's a motorcycle and a cross to bear that get some mileage as well. Lee Marvin makes a cameo appearance of sorts. The other characters are equally vivid. Found both books in my local Wake Forest library. Looking forward to a third.

Rep. Ilhan Omar Describes 9/11 Terror Attacks: ‘Some People Did Something’

Omar delivered the keynote speech at a fundraiser for CAIR in late March and urged Muslim Americans to “raise hell” and “make people uncomfortable.” In one part of her speech that surfaced on Twitter this week, Omar described the 9/11 attacks in a peculiar way.“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar said.

Nice! It appears that this book is highly rated...I'll pick it up.

When I saw the title "The never open desert diner" I couldn't help but think of Fry Canyon Lodge...I actually ate there a few times back in the day and stayed there one night during a particularly nasty spring storm after a big backpack of Gravel Canyon. They closed up for good in '97? '98?

Not much traffic back in those days.

After the mid-terms, and it was announced that Ms. Waters was going to chair the House Finance Committee, I thought "Oh, this might be bad".

But after seeing her performance so far, I'd say this woman is of no concern at all. She is absolutely lost in space.

For the most part, I completely disagree with this. I know a lot of "illegals" and without exception they are here seeking a better life. Yes, I think there are some bad apples but this meme is way over the top.

And unless they can all be individually vetted, theres no way to tell.

There are laws in place allowing for legal immigration, I much prefer that method.

Exactly how do criminals make life better for Americans? And by definition everyone here illegally is a criminal.
