    Question about a plant

I'd like to ask what kind of plant is this:

The picture is from Horse Bench south of Green River. We have seen this plant on other places too.

    Thank you for help!

    Question about a plant

    Purslane.

    It's edible and highly nutritious.

    Beware!

Rob Clifford from ExpeditionUtah gave another explanation. It is Halogeton Glomeratus, a highly noxouis species, especially dangerous for sheep.

    Aha, I stand corrected.

Upon closer inspection I see that the leaves are all wrong. Halogeton typically grows upward, and is typically recognized in its flowering state, which is why I thought at first that it was purslane, which invariably grows outward, along the ground.

I saw the red stems and was fooled.

    Yeah, don't eat that stuff
