    Buckskin/Paria Flashflood circa 2000

    Reading about recent events very depressing. It makes me recall an event in 2000-2001 I think on my "dayhike" of Buckskin to Whitehouse, which turned into a bivouac. When the water came down the Paria narrows I just remember both fear and awe. I was very lucky to not be in a very confined place. That storm did I believe take the life of one hiker in Zion.
