Fish Caught Me On The Green River

The week before last we went fishing on the Green River. We have a tradition once a year there to go fishing at night under the full moon. It's lots of fun and we always catch big Browns and Rainbows. This year we had two anomalies. One was my Dad tail snagged a fish and was not able to land it. I have some video of the fish but we could not identify what species it was. The link to the video is below if you want to take a guess.

The second thing that happen that will help me always remember this trip. Was when I was holding up a fish my Son had caught so I could get a shot of him and the fish together. The fish flipped and caught me with two hooks of a treble hook. The hooks went deep into my index finger. I could not believe how hard it was for me to pull them out. I edited some of the video out to shorten the length because it took a lot of hard pulling to get them out. In the end I got free and was able to get back to catching fish instead of being caught. The link to the video is below if you want to see it. Heads up some people have told me it is painful to watch.

I tear up my finger tips pretty much every time I'm out fishing, but in the over 35 years that I've been fishing I've never hooked myself like that! You know they say that your fingers have more nerves than your penis... That looked like some serious pain.

I just realized that the video of me getting the two barbs of the Rapala out of my finger was a google drive link. Attach is a link to the YouTube video i posted its easier to view. Even now years later when i watch it i can't believe how hard i had to pull to get them out.
