I could use some info on Gilbert Lake (Uintas)

I heard the fishing was fabulous at Gilbert Lake and I'm looking for a good day hike that I can start way early in the morning, fish for a couple of hours and then hike back out, in the dark if necessary. Any thoughts on Gilbert Lake or any others that might fit my description?

Gilbert Lake would be a very long day hike. It is a much better two day trip.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Thanks. I think I'm going up to Divide Lakes instead. I will do Gilbert when I can spend more time.
