Dark canyon loop - technical challenges?
Hi I'm a long-time backpacker but exposure spooks me. On the Woodenshoe / Dark / Peavine loop, how much exposure can I expect? We're going mid-September. Thanks.

None. There is no exposure on that route.
The best part of Dark Canyon is below Youngs Canyon though. The upper end is OK, but it isn't nearly as fun or scenic as the lower end.Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.
