    Stuck rope in Kolob

It with deep regret that I have to admit that our group got our rope stuck in Kolob this Sunday. We got a little distracted playing around in a pothole about 3/4 through the technical portion and nobody noticed the overhand knot that formed in the end of the rope until it was too late. It was a good learning lesson I guess as it shows the importance of paying attention to what you are doing all of the time. Luckily for us it was our 120' footer and we still had a 200', or else it could have been much worse. The original plan was to go back through the canyon today, but the rain forecast didn't work in our favor.

It is a green Imlay 120' Canyonero, and if anyone finds it there is a 6-pack (plus good karma) in it for you.

    Thanks

I added this to the ever growing Lost & Found sticky thread.

    Hopefully someone can find it.

Has the rope been recovered? I believe Tom went through last weekend. If not I plan on going soon.

Sadly no. It looks like it is a goner.

Not so much a goner as it is now in someone else's possession. Part of the cost of inattention.

True. I just hope it found a good home. :)

My partner who pulled the rope ended up purchasing a new one for me, against my protestations. I figured even though he was pulling the rope we all should have been paying attention. Plus this just means when I lose something of his I have to replace it.
