Yankee Doodle
This is a nice canyon for a quick trip - it took as long for the drive from/to St. George as it did to hike. Four of us - one on her 1st canyon and rappel. There was a group of about 8 ahead of us rappelling in further down canyon, so we opted for the traditional 2-rappel. We soon learned that our hopes for a dry canyon would not be known - at least last week's rain cleaned everything out. Stemming worked on some passages but there were 2-3 mandatory swims. We didn't take wetsuits and one of our group really wished that he would have. Luckily, the bottom of the canyon - with warm rocks - was not far away. The keeper at the bottom was full and easily escapable or bypass-able. The group ahead of us let us play through, but we waited long enough at the exit to show them the way out. It was slippery with wet and sandy shoes. Took us about 2-2/2 hours car-to-car.

YD is good to do as a pair with Boltergeist; were you not able to do both?
