Are Drones legal to fly in Utah State Parks
I know about the ban on drones in National Parks, and I do agree with it for many reasons.
I am curious about Utah State Parks though (State Parks may vary from State to State). Does anybody know the rule or law on this?
And mind you, I'm not one to pester folks by flying too close to them. Even if it's legal, I don't want to give any reason for somebody to complain, giving reason to make it illegal. While I appreciate any advice to "just be responsible while flying", that is my first priority.
There is a certain State Park I'll be visiting shortly and I would love to get some aerial footage of it.

Ha ha.
I'm assuming it's legal and there are no rules against it. I could also just call the park directly and ask. If I'm flying it down there, I could get confronted by somebody who "wants to be bothered" by drones so they can register a complaint, but I would just like to have knowledge about the rules on my side.

Goblin Valley currently allows drones, but changes are coming. Be respectful and please try to do this in privacy without giving others a reason to report you. Call ahead. 435-275-4584

I've got some frames I can upload at the moment, putting them here:

And LWH Canyon here

If I get some yardwork done in time, I might be able to come in tonight and have the video done, if not, really close.
I'll bet you I get delayed on the dang music. That's always a tough decision.

I think this is the right approach. I love Drones like the next guy but I can see both sides of the issue. Just like we've been able to find some balance between recreational vehicle enthusiasts and hikers/campers in the Swell I'm sure we can find a good balance with Drone usage. Learn the rules, call ahead and be respectful should cover it.
Nice video by the way!
