I was talking to a lady last night who did Pinecreek last weekend.

There was a small flow she said and ice cold. She said a few places they were able to jump instead of rap. I don't know where though.

Everyone wore a 3mm wetsuit. And it was just the 3 of them.

I'm surprised they are still alive...and okay! But apparently so.

I didn't press her too much as I didn't know her that well and everyone was short on time - otherwise I would have as I remembered this thread as I was talking to her.

    I hope that helps Mark.

Thanks I'm wondering if snow in gully? Alot of permits have been pulled so people are going thru. I don't want to have to haul wet suit if lake is dry.

Here is what is from Candition.com for Mystery on 3/13/15 (9 days ago):

"Hiked up from Weeping Rock. Snow and mud from the Observation point junction to the canyon head. Going down the gully and up to the first rappell we had snow, with an occasional section where you could sink up to the thigh. The mud was generally slicker than the snow. Mid-calf water before the lake. The lake was knee high and almost ice free. Mystery springs was a swim."

This sounds like the same conditions that were present when I did it in November last year.

Did Mystery about 2 weeks ago. Mystery Springs was a full swim. Some waist deep water after that. My son and I didn't take suits, but my wife and daughter did. I personally would not take one through Mystery. There definitely will be a little snow and mud in the gully, but won't be a big deal
