    Bogley Update - March 2015

Hi Folks. We did a minor update on the bogley software tonight (early Tuesday Morning). The good news is I was expecting it to take about 8 hours but it only took about an hour and a half.

You probably won't notice much, but if you do, please report any problems here.

Some of you may have bookmarked http://www.bogley.com/forum/ which takes you to the "activity" stream, rather than bookmarking http://www.bogley.com/forum/forum.php (with the extra forum.php) that will take you to the forum home.

We are finally going to get rid of that old home page possibly this week and add an updated home to bogley, so keep a lookout for that. I'm sure we'll make a li'l announcement thread about that too.

So again, you probably won't notice much difference, it was mostly some much needed security patches and stuff. But if you do notice a problem, please report it here.

    Thanks.

I don't know if this was intentional or a glitch, but when you click on forum, it gives you the feed rather than the list of forum topics.
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Are you clicking on the forum button? Or a bookmarked forum? If you click on the forum buttons up in the header, they should be directing you to forum.php, but if you are going to a location like http://www.bogley.com/forum/ then that will add activity.php after it, which is the stream.

(Oh, and now I think I know what you mean, you're clicking the forum button from the home page, right?)

Hopefully by the end of this week we'll have the old and WAYYYY outdated home page totally switched out with a Content Management System, making it more of a seamless transition between forum and home page. It's a change that is years behind in plans and we're finally getting to it in our spare time.

Yes; that's what I meant. It takes you to the Activity Stream now.

    Hmm.

Last time I had an "activity stream" was during puberty.

    The search function doesn't work.

Yeah... you got some stuff f**ked up...

What used to be this http://www.bogley.com/forum now takes you to the activity stream.

You now have to use this: http://www.bogley.com/forum/forum.php? to get to what used to be this http://www.bogley.com/forum

And while you are fixing shit.... at one time all of the following were all valid Bogley links, but none of them now work. This makes linking to past subjects useless....

Yes, the activity stream will be fixed hopefully this week along with the new home page.

The other broken links are on our short list as well to fix. They've been a problem for a little while now and this update was badly needed to patch up some security holes.

Once again, the activity stream is known about, and it will be fixed hopefully this week.

    Thanks.

Sombeech; I am unable to upload photos directly to Bogley threads. I can upload them somewhere else and link/copy them, but can't upload them directly. Hope this helps.

Hmmm, I didn't seem to hit any snags. This is from your computer, not from your phone, correct? What browser, and which method are you using?

Is PM working for everyone? I sent SlotMachine a PM, but it doesn't show up in the Sent Mail folder, so I'm not sure if it sent.

I think it shows in the outbox until the recipient has opened it

Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk

EDIT: Hmmm, I think we used to have an "outbox" but we don't anymore. But I still do think that it won't show "Sent" until it's been received by the recipient. Or, I think we do have the option to NOT save the message in the Sent folder, but I've got the Sent items turned on by default. This could become a nuisance though when your PM limit has been reached, you'll want to start by emptying your Sent items first.

Now that I'm coming up with ideas, it could also be that @Slot Machine (did your Slot Machine recipient name have the space between the two words?) has a full inbox and he may need to get rid of some, to make room for more.

Anyways, if you don't see any results, let me know.
