Every trip is an excuse to fish...

I was traveling to Utah this weekend for my oldest daughter's wedding, so of course I came down a couple days early for my wife to help her get things ready for the big day, my younger girls to shop City Creek...and for me to have some time for a little winter fishing. Spent time Thursday and Friday on the Lower and Middle Provo. Lower Provo was pretty busy (at least for my liking), but I managed to find some open water and fish both days. Took newbie relatives with me each day, their first attempts at fly-fishing, especially challenging when fishing size 20 or 22 midges. My brother-in-law, hooked, fought, and lost about an 18" rainbow on Thursday, my niece's husband was excited to catch a small brown all on his own. I found enough fish in between to keep me happy. Thanks for sharing your water. Hope to be back in the summer for a couple more days of fishing.
