    looking good!
Do you need any diagonal bracing on the back of the cage for lateral movement?
Not really seeing any for front to back either?

    It'll come back.

Diagonals in the front, center and roof. It isn't Nascar :-)

Any bad obstacles there won't be any rear passengers and it's super light.

Did you discover any issues you need to address? Or is it ready to go right out of the shop?

    It looks amazing.

The used motor I bought has a burnt valve so I need to address that soon. I have another motor so I'm going to swap heads this week sometime. Right rear caliper keeps locking up. Not sure if it's the caliper or the cutting brake doing it. Bought another caliper to try and diagnose it. Other than that everything turned out awesome and I just need to button a few things up

Sounds like only a few bugs to work out. Nice.

What do you like/prefer about this version compared to your other crawlers?

  18. #34
More power. Less weight. Full hydraulic steering. Better shocks, longer wheelbase, motor relocated 6" back for better balance, shorter floor and roof height, cutter brakes, front dig. I'm sure I missed some stuff but I took all that I learned from my last 2 builds and the builds we have done for others and tried to incorporate it into mine. I don't think you could find a more capable leaf spring rig out there and very few link rigs will do more

I got the new motor installed last week. New rear calipers because the last were acting up on me. Everything is pretty dialed in on it now and ready to go again. Only thing really left to do is wire in the LED front lights and the rock lights and finish up the dash. Nothing though that won't let it be driven. Time to go break some more stuff :-)

Few pics from the last couple of weekends. Perfect weather to be outside right now. Canyoneering season is about ready to be hit hard so trying to get as much wheeling in as we can
