Nice photos! That is DRY for this time of year!
Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Where are the hordes of people???
Looks like you picked a great day to go on such a fantastic hike!
Which trailhead did you use?

Nobody is up there in October. I've been up around the same time of year and you have the mountain to yourself. Granted, there are no flowers, colorful vistas, or chances to get water (higher on the Timpooneke side anyway).
Just where is it I could find bear, beaver, and other critters worth cash money when skint?

We went up the Timpooneke trail. We saw maybe 10 people on the trail. One was an elderly gentleman who was on his 50th climb to the top. He was 80 something and flew up the mountain! I was impressed. It was a perfect day to hike.
