September Canyon Thrashfest!

After a whole summer of waiting FINALLY September came and it was time for the guy's fall canyon trip!!!! ONCE AGAIN we we were right on the heals of major monsoon storms. (See 2013 report: http://www.bogley.com/forum/showthre...ing-Thrashfest! )

I was SHOCKED when i heard that I-15 was entirely blown out which limited our access to Southern Utah. Last year we were dogged by HITRR, amongst other dirt roads, post monsoon carnage. I thought to myself: "If this happened to I-15 then what happened to HITRR?" ...apparently nothing. Roads were great everywhere!

We ran a canyoneering trip by day and a road trip by night. We traveled nearly 1000 miles in 3 days, in part thanks to the 5 hour detour from Las Vegas to Zion. Trucking down to Waterholes, the burdensome car shuttle, and a trek up to Capitol Reef didnt help things.
