Trail Closures on East Rim (Zion)

Heading to Zion in a few days. Can anyone confirm what trail is closed and when? It's hard to tell what part of the East Rim trail is closed. I'm referring to this, which is not too specific:

Can Middle Echo be accessed from the east? We were thinking of just taking the East Rim trail from Zion Ponderosa Ranch, where we may end up camping, then hiking back the same way when done, as long as this part isn't closed. I am assuming this can be done, but you know what happens when you assume...

I did it couple days ago and its fine there is a log jam that you have to climb through in the upper section. I also believe that they open the trail on weekends, if not hiking back to the ponderosa isn't to bad
