Gannett Peak via Glacier Trail
Decided to do Gannett from the Glacier Trail. Started hiking about 5:30 the first morning. Beautiful early September conditions, clear skies and no mosquitoes. After 13 hours got to the tarn camp, surprise was there was no one there. Next morning started hiking about 5am, perfect snow on Dinwoody glacier. No problems at the bergschrund and clear skies and very little wind at the top. Had the summit to ourselves. Hiked back down and out to Star lake. Early next morning made it out to the trailhead by 11:30, just in time for cheese burgers in Lander.
