Upper Davis canyon down the horse trail exit?

Has anyone hiked from the upper part of Davis canyon down to the horse trail exit? Back to HITR road? Details? Time?

It's a pretty hike from the cattle trail to the lake as well.
Might want to drop a pack at the horse camp and take a trip downstream.
