Death Hollow Sneak Rt. (East or West side of Micro?)
My wife and I did BMT, DH, Esc. Riv. 30 mile backpack this summer. It was amazing, enjoyed it more than Coyote Gulch. I'm taking my 18 year old son later this week and we want to go in through the sneak route and do an up and back in death hollow. I've searched and read a lot on the sneak route. I realize the advice is to take your time and if it's too precarious there is a better route.
I'd like to at least start on the 'best' side of micro death hollow and I'm not sure which that is. Without any other info, I guess I would stay on the east side. I would love to know what the preferred route is. Thanks.

Thanks, we used the route with slight variation on the way in and out. It was steeper and a little trickier than I was expecting. Day packs would make it considerably easier than the 45 lb backpacks that we carried in and out. Water was up in the Escalante and Mamie with all the run-off from the rains. The pour-off at the largest DH pool was still pouring on Thursday and Friday and the last rains were Tuesday afternoon.
