    Escalante, hike, packraft, bike

Loop trip via foot, pack raft and closing the loop with bikes. Willow Gulch, Escalante arm of Lake Powell, and return via Davis Gulch and HITR road.

I would love to do something like that! Did you stash the bikes before you parked the vehicle?

Yes we stashed the bikes then drove back to TH.

How were the conditions hiking down to Lake Powell? When I hiked willow gulch a couple years ago I decided to hike down canyon to the lake and it got super muddy. I barely made it, but there were a couple of spots I really struggled in the mud. I can imagine this would be even harder with big packs on.

ahansen60 - sorry 'bout the late reply. Outside, you know how it is. As far as your Q, virtually no mud. We had more problems with beaver ponds and dams. Easy sand near lake level.
