Ivan's Tail July 4th
After taking 4 ibuprofen and half a vicodin I was able to sleep some after the previous days accident so we switched up our plans and did an easy day. I forgot my camera through Lower Angel so no trip report other than to say it is a good beginner canyon and very pretty. The water levels in Angel are enough to make it interesting for beginners, without being dangerous. Ivan's tail is usually a good beginner canyon as well, but with the higher flow right now I wouldn't recommend it for those without some experience.
This is a very short canyon and there was only one other rappel right around the corner and then you exit up a very steep gully with lots of loose dirt making the exit quite hard. Also there are two dead and very decomposed deer as well as a dead fish at the bottom of the first rappel.
